Otherness and alterity: Transcendental philosophical entities in societal interactions

Abstract

Al estar en contacto con iguales, como manifestación de la sociabilidad, que es inherente, ínsita a la condición de existir como ser humano, hay un acercamiento mediante relaciones plurales a esos otros que concitan el respeto, la consideración entre pares. Ese relacionar trae consigo un desprendimiento de la mismidad, para reconocer la propia no mismidad. Esto es, el reconocimiento de la otredad y la alteridad, cualidades y atributos valiosos que son particulares, especiales y exclusivos del no-yo. 

Así, entonces, este discurrir intelectivo tiene como propósito reflexionar, con apoyo en la teoría argumentativa, sobre la otredad y la alteridad como entidades filosóficas que se valoran como trascendentales en las interacciones societales. El desarrollo discursivo se sustenta en una investigación crítica, fundamentada en la revisión documental existente, con el aporte cognicional y reflexivo del investigador. Se presentan, como premisas provisionales, entre otras, que la otredad y la alteridad, hasta ahora, en lo que atañe a su aparición ―o su origen― tienen como anclaje la poética y la religión. Y, desde esas concreciones, se asume lo filosofal. Por tanto, se consideran entidades que se fundan en lo trascendental que emerge de las interactuaciones humanas. 
Pero es urgente tener a la dignidad de la persona humana como categoría fundante, pues los dos, yo y no-yo, han sido creados a imagen y semejanza del Ser Supremo: Dios. 
Asimismo, la otredad y la alteridad hay que entenderlas como cualidades que refieren a la interioridad, la intimidad del otro. Desde esa comprensión se va a vincular la relación compleja entre el yo y no-yo, así como la interactuación entre nos-otros y vos-otros. Son abstracciones intelectivas que van a ligarse con el sentipensar, propio de cada ser humano.

Abstract

When we come into contact with our loved ones, as a manifestation of our characteristic of sociability, which is inherent, inherent to the condition of existing as a human being, we are going to getting closer, through plural relationships to those others that arouse respect and consideration among peers. This relationship brings with it a detachment from selfhood, in order to recognize my non-selfhood. That is, the recognition of otherness and alterity, qualities, valuable attributes that are particular, special and exclusive of the not-self. Thus, the purpose of this intellectual discourse is to reflect, with the support of argumentative theory, on otherness and alterity as philosophical entities that are valued as transcendental in societal interactions. The discursive development is based on a critical research, based on the existing documentary review, with the cognitive and reflexive contribution of the researcher. Provisional premises are presented, among others, that otherness and alterity, so far, as far as their appearance -or their origin- is concerned, are anchored in poetics and religion. And, from these concretions, the philosophical is assumed. Therefore, they are considered entities that are based on the transcendental that emerges from human interactions. But, it is urgent to have the dignity of the human person as a founding category, since both of us -self and not-self- have been created in the image and likeness of the Supreme Being: God. Likewise, otherness and alterity must be understood as qualities that refer to the interiority, the intimacy of the other. And, from this understanding he will link the complex relationship that occurs between the self and not-self. Likewise, the interaction between us-others and you-others. These are intellective abstractions that will be linked to the sentiment-thinking, proper to each human being.
